Following the success of her book The Good Tourist, Katie was invited to make a report on this highly popular prime-time TV programme, looking at how popular holiday resorts can adhere to sound environmental practice to sustain their tourism potential.

Scotland's first TV travel series was devised and presented for its first three years by Katie Wood. Covering destinations around the World, she scripted, presented and directed her reports and took the programme into the top ten ratings and a BAFTA nomination.

Katie also presented for BBC Radio Scotland's 'Travel Time', where she was the resident travel expert for almost a decade, and BBC Radio 4's 'Excess Baggage' have also used Katie as a panellist on her various areas of speciality over the years ('Best hotels in the world', 'Ecotourism', Train Travel in Europe', 'European Cities' 'Spas').
